Scott enjoys the challenge of connecting the physical form of a building to the day-to-day life of a client. He is currently working on a new 160-person wedding venue, ensuring the intricacies of function are balanced with the flow of the spaces.
Over the past ten years at Blake, he has developed an expertise in difficult rural conversions, using permitted development rights and full planning approvals as required, and is expert in navigating the planning process to achieve approvals and approvals at Appeal in National Landscapes (formerly AONBs) and Conservation Areas.
Within the office, Scott leads on AI and programming bespoke software. He has on-site knowledge of how to deliver sustainable designs and brings this expertise into new projects.
At home he has renovated an ugly-duckling house into a perfect family home; the skills learned — from demolition to carpentry — have given him a deep appreciation of detailing and buildability.
