The Grade II Listed house is part of a Chelsea brick and stucco terrace built in the 19th Century. Many houses were altered in the 1960’s, when the Kings Road became popular, with rear extensions and second floors of varying quality. Planning controls were not so tough and the houses were yet to be listed!
Our clients asked us to increase the floor area of the second floor and increase the ceilings height of their bedroom suite.
To achieve the client’s objectives we demonstrated that there was minimal impact on the street scene and that there would be an overall enhancement.
